Colostrum is nature’s perfect first food that all mammals give their newborn. There are over 4000 mammals on the planet of which humans are the dominate species, unfortunately humans do not produce enough for commercial quantities.

A mammal’s colostrum is not species specific and is basically the same for all species except for the antibody content. That is why cow’s (bovine) colostrum is best suited for human consumption as cows produce enough colostrum for both their calf and commercial collection.

Colostrum MAX supplies immune and growth factors along with a perfect combination of vitamins and minerals to ensure the health, vitality, and growth of the newborn.

Colostrum has applications for every generation and it is never too late to start gaining the benefits of life’s precious first food.

It is estimated that colostrum triggers at least fifty processes in the newborn, including transferring the immune factors and the memory from the mother’s own immune system. Balancing the immune system and is a natural source of many vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and is gluten free.

Colostrum supplementation enhances the efficiency of amino acid and carbohydrate fuel uptake by the intestine, making more nutrients available for muscle cells, stem cells and other vital tissues and organs.

Supports nutrition for the body’s cells including adult stem cells, which have the ability to differentiate into various cell types. Containing taurine, a natural occurring free amino acid abundant in many tissues, including the brain, skeletal and cardiac muscle.

The key difference between Colostrum MAX and other immune balancing products is the presence of a high level of proline-rich polypeptides (PRPs) that come when collected within 16 hours after the cow giving birth to the calf. This is called 1st milking which has the highest peptide (PRPs) content possible – see graph below.

ColostrumMAX is only collected from USDA Grade A dairies that are monitored daily for quality assurance compliance by our field quality control specialist.

Colostrum collected for our range of high peptide products in each dairy undergoes a 42 point in-house and/or independent testing protocol including chemistry. Specification of pathogens and general microbiology and other necessary testing to assure raw production is collected from the first milking and free from adulterants.

Colostrum enhances the efficiency of amino acid and carbohydrate fuel uptake by the intestine.

Colostrum MAX

Colostrum PRPs have been shown to stimulate an under-active immune system and repress an overactive immune system, bringing the immune system to homeostatic balance. Proline-rich polypeptides (PRPs) act systemically, modulating the complex immune system and are therefore the most important ingredient.

PRPs contain immunoglobulins, lactofferin, transferrin, cytokines, Lysozymes, enzymes, lactalbumin, glycoprotein's – see full breakdown of Colostrum on “What is Colostrum” link. Balancing the body's immune system is one of the keys to returning the body back to and maintaining a healthy state.

Regulation of medicines in Australia

Australia has one of the best regulatory systems in the world to ensure that medicines available in Australia are of the highest standards. Most healthcare products must be included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) before they can be sold. An AUST R or AUST L number on the label of the medicine shows that it has been included on the ARTG.

An AUST L number shows that the product has been assessed for quality, safety and effectiveness. AUST L numbers are given to lower risk products used to treat minor health complaints. These numbers indicate that when the medicine is taken according to label directions it is considered to be safe and effective.

Additionally all medicines manufactured in Australia must be made in Government licensed premises that are subject to regular inspections.
